Ritmos Colombianos performs a Cumbia “Peyo Torres”, and a Salsa “Torero”

Cumbia is the national dance of Colombia, a popular dance in South America. It is the merging of three cultures: African, Spanish and Native, that created a smooth, happy and relaxed dance since the XV (fifteen) century.

Salsa means (sauce) hot and spicy. It was born in Cuba with African and Caribbean roots. Its footwork makes it a fast dance, stimulating rhythms and sexy playful style. Colombia shares the home to the traditional style of salsa.

Cumbia was choreographed by Carlos Osorio, and Salsa was choreographed by Carlos Varela.
