The Taiwanese American Association (TAA) of Capital District, New York, is a non-political community organization established in 1971. Its purposes are to foster, encourage, and promote the understanding of Taiwan, its people, history, culture, society, economy, government, and natural environment; to promote friendship among its member; and to improve communication between the Association and other ethnic groups in the community.
The Taiwanese American Cultural Society of the Capital District, Inc. (TACS) was established in May 2004 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable corporation with tax-exempt status. The mission of TACS is to promote Taiwanese arts, history, and culture to the community through exhibits, lectures, musical and theatrical performances and youth scholarships. Among the numerous cultural events it sponsors each year is the Taiwanese American Heritage Week Celebration, which is a performing arts extravaganza typically held at The Egg in the Empire State Plaza in the month of May.

We are part of the Celebration of Nations, in Rolla, Missouri and Festival of Nations in St. Louis.
We use red/white/blue as our flag in the parade. And Taiwan as our country name. Other time we use a logo with Taiwan shape on our banner. We also create t-shirt with “Taiwan” logo on it.
