The Ukrainian National Women’s League of America is the primary Organization participating in the Festival of Nations. We are all also members of the St Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Watervliet New York. There is also one member of our organization that is a parishioner of the St Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Troy, New York.

Folk dances from Ukraine performed by Zorepad Ukrainian Dance Ensemble
Girl’s Hutzulka – a dance representing the Hutzul region of western Ukraine. The costumes reflect the earth toned colors of the region in the Carpathian Mountains.
Boys, Boys, Boys – A fun character dance that tells the story of young boys who just won’t stay out of trouble.

Ukraine will serve the traditional “Holubtsi” stuffed cabbage with meat and rice, “Varenyky” potato and cheese dumplings, as well as a variety of sweets, such as Chocolate Walnut Torte, cheese cakes and pastries.
